Turning insight, evidence and ideas into action

Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing

Skyblue has been active in this field since its birth in 2007.

There has always been a need to make the case for sport and physical activity and the difference it can make to society, local communities and the economy at large. We do this through competent monitoring and evaluation projects designed to fit within the capacity and capability of our clients, be they National Governing Bodies of Sport, County Sports Partnerships or consortia of partners such as schools and colleges and health organisations who together have ambitions to increase physical activity levels in their area.

Members of our team have direct experience of directing sports organisations; developing successful investment cases to help launch practical participation programmes; and of course measuring the impact and success of such initiatives.

We are particularly strong – and intentionally getting stronger – at our work in tackling inequality and using sport as a driver of change to enable more opportunities for young people and adults with disabilities. We are involved in a number of sport specific research programmes for the next 4 years to see how this can be achieved for more people, across more sports in more parts of the country.

We invite partnerships to join us on this mission.
